Weekly round-up

This is what’s happening with the blog

Well, I’ve ummed and I’ve ah-ed. I’ve cogitated and I’ve ruminated. I’ve looked over your ideas too. And after many tortuous hours of weighing up pros, cons, sixes of one and half a dozens of the other, I’ve formulated a plan to reinvigorate this site with a revolutionary new approach to blogging.

I’m just going to, um, blog about whatever, when I feel like it.

And that’s it, basically. You know – like most normal bloggers. Don’t ask me why I’d never thought of it before.

I’ll still do featured pubs. I might still do A Week in Pubs sometimes. But there are only so many times you can say “the Rutland Arms in Sheffield is a super place to have a pint on Friday after work”. Or “the Rutland Arms in Grimsby seems to have new management this week”.

And sometimes I might just want to talk about something else pub-related which doesn’t fit either of those categories. And sometimes I’ll have time to, and sometimes I won’t.

So that’s the plan. I’m basically just going to write whatever. When I can. And write it bloody well.

Oh, but if you fancy doing a guest blog, do get in touch.

Look out for a post soon on the newly refurbed Hallamshire House at Commonside. Quite fitting really, since that’s where this blog began
